He prides himself on running a well-maintained, fully equipped charter boat for the maximum enjoyment and safety of his passengers. Captain Gary has over forty years of fishing experience in the Raritan Bay and Sandy Hook coastal waters. Captain Gary has the know-how to take you to the nooks and crannies of the bay for fishing fun. Aboard Double Down Charters we specialize in light tackle fishing for striped bass, weakfish, bluefish, fluke, flounder, blackfish, porgies and sea bass. Captain Gary’s approach to fishing is not to fish in the crowds but to find the lone area where the fish are biting. Early morning or early evening trips are the most fun due to the lack of boat traffic. Depending upon the area being fished, from the time we leave the dock, we could be fishing in less than ten minutes. If you are the novice fishing person or someone who's best outdoors activity is shopping for the best iphone deals, we will teach you how to catch fish.
